It's a Trick, Where's the Treat?
I noticed a couple weeks ago Halloween stuff in the shop windows here and there. Yes, people in our country love seasonal goods and festivals, we don't have the custom of "A Trick or Treat" though. I suddenly remembered there was a delightful Halloween episode in Virtual Moonlighting and started reading this somewhat quirky story.
I think this is the merriest episode among Virtual Moonlighting. David and Maddie are so excited about getting together again. And then very unfortunately, they are interrupted by many happenings. But no matter how many monkey wrenches come over, the passion between the two is invincible! They exchange hot banter and behave badly all the time! David in frustration is a lot visible just like him in the show. Hefs complaining and making snide remarks to the people who block their plan. As for Maddie, who could ever imagine her going so wild! Maybe she was taught by him like detective skills, I guess. And I think it becomes her much better than Maddie acted like a too-much- thinker in the Season 4 and 5. She is bright and strong-willed, once she gets it, no one could defeat her.
And the supporting characters are so good, weird and very funny! Bert, Agnes and poor RichiecI can easily view them in the costumes, even the dogs, and the guest stars are amusing! Ifm glad to find the familiar names; "Columbo" and "McCloud", who I used to enjoy watching on TV. They were also popular in our country. And the car chase scene looks like Hollywood action movies, their BMW gets crashed but of course David and Maddie die hard!
Laughing out loud continuously, I felt as if watching an excellent slapstick comedy from the beginning to the end. It's energetic and extremely fun! And I was surprised that this was written in round robin style! I canft see where the writers have changed without the color changes of the letters. And I canft figure out who wrote where. Is it secret? Anyway I see the four writing parts just fit in a perfect story! Fantastic!
Finally what I love the most about D&M is their longing for each other. They act tough and not pure at times, but their love, the strong attachment to each other always touches my heart. I especially love the scene of The Beverly Hills Hotel where David says to Maddie "You...just you."
Thank you for the amazing story!!!
